Councilwoman

Yvonne M. Echols

Yvonne and her husband Mike reside in the Skyline Lakes area of Ringwood.  They have one daughter.  They are members of St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes.  Yvonne is an educator and proud resident of Ringwood for over twelve years.   As a lifelong resident of Passaic County, she chose Ringwood to be her home to raise a family because of the natural beauty and a sense of community.

Yvonne earned a BA degree in both Education and Communications from William Paterson University and an MA degree in Educational Leadership from New Jersey City University.  She has volunteered over the years for various children organizations including the Girl Scouts.   She is a member of the Ringwood Regular Republican Club.

Currently, Yvonne is an Assistant Principal in an urban school district.  Through her career, she has learned the importance of connecting with all stakeholders through listening and communication.  Being decisive, creating a positive atmosphere, problem solving and achieving shared goals are vital characteristics of being a leader and she plans to utilize these skills to benefit our borough.
